Heinrich Wörtche is professor Sensors & Smart Systems at the Research Centre Biobased Economy. His research focuses on the development and application of smart sensor technology in healthcare and the digitization of industrial processes.
One example of the research of this professorship is the development of technology to predict the maintanance of nautical machines. Another project aims to improve the efficiency of heat processes in the industry.
Another branch of this professorship focuses on healthcare. The project MOODSense focuses on the prediction of behaviour of people with dementia, to help healthcare professionals to provide apt care.
