Dutch culture

“The rest of the world is a big place”, say the Dutch, well aware of how small their country is. Although small in size, Holland has a rich cultural tradition.
For centuries the country has had an attitude of openness towards the rest of the world. In business, but also in social life. In addition, the Dutch language is spoken in many places around the world.

In the sections in the navigation menu on the left, you can find some information about Holland and the Dutch. It may help you at times when you find yourself thinking about things that you take for granted at home. For example, finding a place to live, taking out insurance, finding out whether you’re allowed to work, and getting used to a different currency.
