The School of Management will actively participate in the Summer school in Mikkeli Finland, ic Erasmus Intensive Programme, a three week EIP as a part of the International Summer Term. Aims of the programme are training students’ entrepreneurship and promoting social responsibility of the enterprises. The programme will include company visits and organised activities.
The School of Social Studies organises teacher exchanges with Bremen throughout the year.

4-8 September
The School of Education will participate in the AMEE, the International Association for Medical Education, in Glasgow

18-24 October
The School of Education will participate in the 2010 PAEA Annual Education Forum will be held at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront in Baltimore, Maryland

22 - 26 August 2009
28th International Congress of the International Association of Logopedists and Phoniatrics in Athens, Greece

11 September - 13 February
From September 11 2009 till February 13 2010 the international minor 'Your identity in Europe' will be given at the School of Education to students from Denmark, Portugal, Spain, Slovenia and the Netherlands.  In September 2010 the minor will be organised again. 17 - 19 September 2009
From September 17 to September 19 a delegation from the School of Sports Studies will go to Ragusa, Sicily, for the annual ENSSEE EU Sport Congress. Key speakers from Europe will discuss matters on Coaching, Physical Activity & Life-Style, and Physical Eduation. Joan Janssens, Bart Dikkeboer, Monique den Arend en Dinant Roode will represent Hanze University Groningen.

18 September 2009
On September 18th the final results of the International Facility Management Programme in which students from Germany, Finland and Austria carry out a project in the context of Business Continuity Management will be presented.

19 September
On Saturday the 19th of September, Bart Dikkeboer from the School of Sports Studies will lead a workshop regarding the “Physical Activity and Lifestyle Counselor, from best practice to a European Course”. Joan Janssens will participate as member of the Board of the ENSSEE.

28 – 29 September
The International Business School receives a delegation from the Jianghn University Shanghai in China to discuss the articulation programme for the International Business and Management programme.

5 - 17 October 2009
From October 5 to October 17 the School of Health Care Studies will welcome 20 Tanzanians for a visit to discuss the curricula development and the set-up of a Skill Labs in Tanzania. This visit is part of a 3,5 year duration project in which various parties are involved such as the Wenckebach Institute, the University of Groningen, Hanze University Groningen, Sintan and some Tanzanian parties.

10 - 11 October
The Workshop Lifelong Learning for Conservatoire directors will be organised by the Professorship Lifelong Learning in Music & the Arts during the Professional Development Seminar of the Association Européenne des Conservatoires in Antwerp, Belgium. Professor Rineke Smilde will also hold the lecture “Educational processes in the Innovative Conservatoire.”

14 - 25 October
FMI Masters (Frank Mohr Institute) Study trip New York. Second year students of the FMI Master programme along with 2 lecturers will travel to New York for a study trip. As part of the programme they will visit their partners the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and Hunter College in New York.

18 - 23 October
Once every two years the Academy of Minerva organises an excursion to Biënnale in Venice for its staff and students.

18 – 31 October
The School of Engineering will organise the Erasmus Intensive Programme "The Future of Energy".

October 2009
The School of Management will be attending an annual meeting for members of PrimeNework in Riga Latvia in which discussion on the Euroweek, double degree programme , and further cooperation will take place.
The School of Management, the International Student Office, and Information market regarding studying abroad in the MarieKamphuis building for Dutch students of the School of Management.

9 November
On November 9 the School of Education will be organising the conference 'Our European House' at the School for the Future in Den Bosch, the Netherlands. The project To-Gather regarding the development of young people in Europe of an own identity will be presented. More information: www.to-gather.org

9 November
A group of students from the School for Fine Arts, Design and Pop Culture will go on a field trip to Berlin for the profject "Berlin Wall of Sound". This project is an initiative by the modern Dutch progressive rock/metal band Noir of the School for Fine Arts, Design and Pop Culture will create a wall of sound on the place where the Berlin Wall was situated 20 years ago.

11 - 12 November
From November 11 to November 12 the School of Education will hold Guest lectures in the last year of the bachelor education.

The School of Social Studies will organise guest lectures regarding Social Work in Judicial Settings.

16 – 22 November
A representative of the International Business School of Hanze University Groningen will go to Malaysia to het a MOU signed with the Uniten University for collaborations with
Energy related innovation, research and educational programmes.

International Business School goes to Malaysia for the EVD Project - "Smart Partnerships". This project facilitates 'Smart Partnerships' between Dutch-Malaysian businesses, Hanze University Groningen and other knowledge centres and funding agencies.

The Business team of the student organisation IBS-U organises a Career event together with the Erasmus Student Network (ESN).

Exchange Festival 2010 : Where’s your head at?

“This year I want to lose weight. This year I will do better in school. This year I want a boyfriend…” Students from the minor Creating an Event ask you: This year why not aim for something bigger, something more transcendent? This year why not come to the Exchange Festival on Jan. 14th and help us raise awareness of the unequal education opportunities in and outside of Europe. This year why not be more solider with each other? The festival will take place at the Hanzehogeschool Groningen’s De Appel and De Cast. It will be kicking off on the 14th of January at 3:00 in the afternoon. From January 9 to January 22 the student organisation Villa ’96 belonging to the School of Management will organise the European challenge event in Berlin.

18 - 23 January 2010
From January 18 to January 23 the School of Facility Management will organise the Euro FM, an international week in which over 60 organisations will discuss the field of facility management. The Professorship Purchasing Management will contribute to the members meeting by giving information on“The Dutch Way”whilst discussing both theory and applied research.

25 January - 5 February
The School of Health Care Studies organises an annual Intensive Program for the course of two weeks in which best practices in education regarding clinical pathways, along with clear instructions for implementing clinical pathways in the curriculum will be shared. Students and staff from 17 universities in the field of Nursing and Social Studies are involved in the programme – making it a truly multidisciplinary and multicultural program and experience.

27 January
The Master Physician Assistant programme of the School of Health Care Studies organises a symposium regarding the globalization of the PA profession. Keynote speaker is Professor dr. R.S. Hooker.

February
The International Minor of the School for Fine Arts, Design and Pop Culture will start.

3 - 6 February
The Prince Claus Conservatoire will be organising the International HaFaBra choir master project for Spanish Size Conducting. A.o. the Royal Marine band, the Provincial brass band, the Guelders Fanfare Orchestra and the conductors Russel Gray and José Vilaplana will participate.

2 - 3 March
On March 2 and March 3 the School of Social Studies will present guest lectures regarding Integration and Citizenschip Integration of minorities, towards citizenship in a democratic society. 15 - 19 March
From March 15 to March 19 Hanze University Groningen will organise the International study week for non-teaching staff of the Erasmus partners. The programme will introduce them to Hanze University and will give non-teaching staff the opportunity to meet their Dutch and visiting international colleagues.

April
The School of Management will engage in the €uroweek, a large-scale conference for students and staff from universities and higher education centres from all over Europe. The main concept of the whole project is to give students from different countries the chance to develop research projects regarding a general theme together. This year's theme is Innovation Management, innovare humanun est. To make this international week an unforgettable experience, social and cultural activities are also planned for all participants.

From May 14 to May 17 the student organisation Villa '96 belonging to the Real Estate Management programme of the School of Management is organising an excursion abroad.
