For Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen, the internationalisation of its activities is one of the two strategic themes for the coming years. We feel it is our duty to prepare our future graduates for a professional career in an international and multicultural environment. We aim at improving the quality of our education by making sure that all our students are introduced to the international dimension of their chosen field of study, are given the opportunity to learn foreign languages, and are stimulated to be internationally mobile.
At the same time, Hanze UAS wants to open its doors to foreign students and teaching staff. Our international programmes, which are taught in English or German, provide interesting possibilities for students from all over the world to take their degree with us or do a certificate programme. The international degree programmes prepare students for an international career. Students from all over the world take classes together with Dutch students, so the international programmes provide a truly multicultural study environment. Hanze UAS furthermore attracts foreign teaching staff, on a permanent basis and as guest lecturers, to enhance the international dimension.
Students are stimulated to do part of their degree programme at one of our foreign partner institutions and/or to do a work placement abroad. Hanze UAS has built up an extensive network of partner institutions around the world that accept our students on an exchange basis. Many companies, profit and not-for-profit organizations in countries all over the world offer our students work placements.
