Where do I stay?
When you apply for one of the programmes, the Summer School will provide you with accommodation. The accommodation will be arranged by the Housing Office. Want to know more about our accomodation options? Check out the website of the Housing Office. Please note that the Summer School will provide you with accommodation. Do not apply for a student house yourself!
Will all students that attend the same programme be housed together?
We try to accommodate the students with the same programme together. However, this is not always possible and we can not guarantee this.
Where is the summer school accommodation located?
The Housing Office has several locations in or near the city centre of Groningen with a maximum biking time of approximately 15 minutes to the city centre and 30 minutes to the Zernike Campus. For an overview of the locations of the accommodation visit the website from the Housing Office.
Please note that the Summer School will provide you with accommodation. Do not apply for a student house yourself!
Are meals included in the fee?
No, the meals are not included in the fee. You are able to cook your own dinner in the kitchen of your accommodation. The costs of the meals you have in a week varies and depends on your life style.

Is there an internet connection available in the accommodation?
Yes, in most student houses there is an internet connection available. Keep in mind that this is not WiFi, so you’ll need to bring an internet connection cable. The costs for the internet connection will be included in the course fee.
What other housing options are available to me?
Hanze (UAS) offers accommodations for all Summer School participants. If you prefer to stay in a hotel or hostel, it is up to you to make reservations. Check out our webpage on Housing to see what options there are.
Does the housing include kitchens and bathrooms?
All of the houses the Housing Office offers have (several) kitchens and bathrooms. For more information on housing, see Housing Office.

My friend is also attending the summer school, can we stay at the same accommodation?
We try to accommodate all the students from one programme together. If you and your friend attend the same programme, it is likely that you will be accommodated together. If you and your friend attend different programmes, you will not be housed together.
When can I move into my accommodation?
You can move into your accommodation three days before the start of the programme.
When do I have to leave my room?
The exact time you have to leave your room will be decided with the programme leader during the course.
I don't need accommodation in Groningen, can I also book the course only?
Yes, you can also apply for the programme only.
Is housing included in the course fee?
Yes, the housing is included in the course fee.
