Depending on your nationality and length of stay, you might have some immigration formalities to deal with. Failing to meet Dutch immigration requirements may result in you not being able to study at Hanze University of Applied Science, Groningen (Hanze UAS). During your application procedure the International Student Office will inform you whether you need to undergo an immigration procedure or not.
Immigration law and regulations fall under the responsibility of the Ministry of Safety and Justice, department of Immigration and Naturalization service (IND). Hanze University UAS is in turn, officially appointed and responsible to carry out and follow their policy in relation to immigration matters for it’s students. Within Hanze UAS, it is the International Student Office that handles all immigration related matters for her students. They will point out the requirements, guide you through the rules and regulations to safeguard a correct and timely start in Groningen.
