International projects

The European project Polifonia III (2011- 2014) is coordinated by the European Association of Conservatoires (AEC). The Prince Claus Conservatoire and the research group LLMA participate in this project. Rineke Smilde, professor of LLMA, will chair a working group on ‘Mobility: recognition, monitoring and joint degrees’.

The Joint Master for New Audiences and Innovative Practice was initiated by the research group LLMA and developed with five European conservatoires: Royal Conservatoire The Hague, Guildhall School of Music & Drama London, Jyväskylä UAS School of Music, Iceland Academy of the Arts, and seven external partners in four countries. Meanwhile the programme runs in all schools, except for Jyvaskyla. Instead a new partner has joined: the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. The research group LLMA serves as a consultant for the programme.

Past projects in which the research group was involved can be found on this website under projects 2004-2008: The European Forum of Music Education and Training (EFMET) was initiated by the European Music Council (EMC). Polifonia I and II were initiated by the European Association of Conservatoires (AEC).
