Professional partnerships in a local and global context

What are the conditions for a successful collaboration between professional partners? How to engage in a collaboration? Objective of this research project is to design a model in which partners can reach a mutual agreement and understanding about their definitions of quality and values.

Evaluation of a number of collaborative pilot projects in the past has shown that more results might have been reached if the quality and nature of the partnerships had been addressed in a different way.

In collaborative projects between professional art education and external partners there is a lack of good forms of evaluation. The aim of this project is to investigate the requirements and conditions to create successful and sustainable partnerships between conservatoires and professional organisations, which can be used for example within master programmes and within professional development programmes.

The outcome of this research through a number of case studies with collaborative partners will be an online toolbox comprising a model and a set of recommendations for engaging in professional partnerships.
