The third summerschool of the Joint Music Master of New Audiences and Innovative Practices (NAIP) has been held in Sigtuna in Sweden from August 20-31, 2012. Sigtuna is Sweden´s oldest city and is situated by lake Mälaren, close to Stockholm City.
The aim of the summerschool is to acquaint new students with the main modules within the master, with each other and with their teachers. In addition to introduction sessions to the main modules, workshops were held and students have worked together in Lab's. The programme included work with various audiences such as children, disabled, immigrants and a choir. Collaboration took place with a.o. art teachers and students at Sigtuna Folkhögskola. Mentoring and reflection was a key element throughout the week.
The end result was a final presentation or concert for all the participants involved.
Last year's summerschool of the Joint Music Master took place on the island of Schiermonnikoog.
