Welcome to the knowledge portal of Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen
By establishing multidisciplinary Centres of Applied Research and Innovation Hanze UAS is progressing towards becoming a knowledge institute in which applied research and innovation are integrated into the various curricula of Hanze UAS.
The Centres of Applied Research and Innovation of Hanze UAS work around eight research themes:
Challenging practice-based projects
The participants in our Centres of Applied Research and Innovation learn to look beyond the boundaries of their own particular disciplines and co-operate with people from other disciplines to carry out challenging practice-based projects.
The connection between education and the field
As a knowledge broker, the centres of applied research and innovation are of great value to the innovation capability of the industry in the North of the Netherlands and outside.
For this reason, they play an important role in the connection between education and the field. The centres of applied research and innovation are also closely involved in the development of various education programmes of Hanze UAS.
A professorship consists of a professor and a research group of internal and external experts. Over forty professorships work at the development of practicably applicable (new) knowledge.
Here you will find a list of the professorships.
