The annual prize for the most innovative lecturer(s) of Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen, the Innoveer, has been awarded to two lecturers of the School of Communication & Media.
The Innovation Prize is an annual prize that is awarded to the most innovative lecturer of Hanze UAS. The winners developed the International Communications Model which is an innovative concept for education that links theory with practice, education with trade & industry, and students as well as teachers on regional, national and on an international level.
This model has been applied in the annual China programme in which thirty students from the School of Communication and Media act as junior consultants who cooperate with students from Nankai University on assignments from Northern Dutch and Chinese small businesses (www.chinalize.nl).
This annual Innovation Prize for lecturers of Hanze UAS was initiated to stimulate developments in education and to reward lecturers for their ideas, activities or working methods. The prize consists of a financial reward of € 5.000 and an artwork by Martijn Westphal, an alumnus of the School of Fine Arts and Design (Academy Minerva) belonging to Hanze UAS.
