‘My name is Paul Gesink and I’m a fourth-year student of Technology Management. I have been an entrepreneur for three years. Next year I will launch a new private company that will produce solar boats. Being an entrepreneur is the best way for me to reach my dreams. I decided to become an entrepreneur during my study.
‘Entrepreneurship appeals to me because of the independence, the responsibilities and the freedom that come with it. When I made the final decision to start a company of my own, it became increasingly difficult to combine entrepreneurship with my studies. The Entrepreneurship Centre of Applied Research and Innovation is providing me with support. From February, when the launch of the company will take place, I will have a hectic schedule. With the help of the Entrepreneurship Centre of Applied Research and Innovation I have succeeded to get permission to use my own business as topic for my final project. In this way Hanze University Groningen supports young entrepreneurs.
‘As of February I will fully devote myself to achieving my dream. What I particularly like about entrepreneurship is that it enables me to hold on to my dreams. No dream, no enterprise!’
