At Academy Minerva Exchange students are, depending on their background and portfolio, integrated in a second or third year class. So as an exchange student, you are not isolated from the Bachelor students. You are part of the community. The programme is in Dutch. Therefore the theoretical courses are optional for exchange students. The expressive, technical and professional courses are partly in English.
Fine Arts
Academy Minerva offers a general programme, both group and individual orientated, with ample choice of specialized subject classes and technical courses. The programme aims to train professional artists. Today’s professional artist is not limited to one specific medium, or technique, but has instead many instruments to bring his or her message across. On the one hand the general programme is focused on the artistic process, concept development and reflection. On the other hand the optional subject courses are medium specific. The assembled programme thus offers a wide variety of subjects and lecturers as well as an individually in-depth artistic research.
The end of the exchange period is marked by a combined presentation and exhibition. Both Design and Fine Arts students present a selection of their work before the academy community.
For the pro-active art student an exchange study period at Minerva offers plenty opportunities to go in depth and push the intellectual and artistic envelope!
