Marjolein Annen is project leader for the development of years 3 and 4 of the ASA course and has also been closely involved in the structural development of the course and is actively engaged with the students and lecturers in the quality management of the course.

She gained her Propedeuse in Pedagogical Sciences from the University of Groningen in 1999, following that with a Bachelor and then Masters in Educational Science in 2003, also from the University of Groningen. Since then Ms Annen has taken several courses; Project Management, Intercultural Awareness and Skills Training Advice, all within the Hanze University.

Ms Annen has worked in several departments of the Hanze University as an education adviser and her international experience includes working with representatives from Vietnam, Ghana and Indonesia, when she advised institutions on such matters as curriculum development, competence-based assessment and quality assurance.
