Extracurricular activities

International Business School Union (IBS-U)
IBS-U is a student club that organises both social and business related activities. It’s made up of several teams such as the Business Team, Events Team, Sports Team, Travel Team and the Yearbook Team. Typical activities are lectures by business professionals and workshops, company visits, student parties and  sports events. Being a member of the IBS-U is not only enjoyable but provides an excellent opportunity for students to make practical use of subjects taught in the IBS study programme!  For more information, go to their website, click here

Student Clubs outside IBS
If you are interested in participating in extracurricular activities with your fellow students, you can become a member of one of the student associations. There are many associations inside and outside the Hanze. To see an overview, see www.hanzeuniversity.eu.

Sports
If you like sports, you can join the ACLO, which is the student sports centre of Hanze University Groningen and the University of Groningen. For around Euro 50 per year, students of Hanze University Groningen can buy an ACLO card, which is a kind of passport to the various sports facilities. The sports centre provides excellent sports facilities, 7 days a week, 340 days a year, from 08:00 to 23:00. On weekdays the focus is on exercising and training under the supervision of professional trainers and instructors (over 450 lessons a week); on weekends the emphasis is on competitions, tournaments and events.
