Extracurricular activities

International Business School Union (IBS-U)
The IBS-Union is an student organisation for the International Business School (International Business Management Studies and Betriebswirtschaft (German track) students). IBS-U organises activities such as special lectures and workshops from business professionals, company visits, student parties and sports events. Their objective is to stimulate and maintain relations between students (all years), students and staff and between students and the business world.

International Student Team
As an international student coming to a new country you will encounter many differences from your home country. The ISTeam consists of Hanze University students from all over the world who are enthusiastic about helping you obtain information on the international Bachelor and Master study programmes, the campus, and student life in Groningen. Student Associations
If you are interested in participating in extracurricular activities with your fellow students,you can become a member of one of the student associations. There are many associations inside and outside the Hanze. To see an overview, click here.

Sports
If you like sports, you can join the ACLO, which is the student sports centre of Hanze University Groningen and the University of Groningen. For approximately 55 Euro per year, students of Hanze University Groningen can buy an ACLO card, which is a kind of passport to the various sports facilities. The sports centre provides excellent sports facilities, 7 days a week, 340 days a year, from 08:00 to 23:00. On weekdays the focus is on exercising and training under the supervision of professional trainers and instructors (over 450 lessons a week); on weekends the emphasis is on competitions, tournaments and events.
