During their eighth semester, all IBS students have to acquire and run a final graduation project. In this project, students act as professional consultants to solve for example a problem the company may have, or to investigate a market opportunity, either alone or in a team. The students spend some 300-350 hours working on the project. All projects are supervised by an IBS project supervisor, who is also the first contact for the company.
IBS students have done graduation projects at large and small-to medium-sized companies around the world, for example Volkswagen, SAP, Bünting Systemkunden, NIKE, Sandostine and Gasunie.

- Electronic publishing: from ink and paper to bits and bytes;
- Effectively introducing (the company's) direct sales in Germany;
- Egyptian furniture market;
- E-commerce;
- Entering the Chinese B-to-B market;

- E-business solutions;

- Analyse und Bewertung von Steuerungsinstrumenten eines konzernorientierten IT-Dienstleisters.
