The programme consists of two semesters of course work and one semester of applied research in a business context within a period of 14 months, starting in September each year and ending in November of the following academic year. The total size of the programme is 90 ects. Students may opt to participate in a double degree programme, in which case they have to spend the second semester at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) in Cambridge, England.
Semester One
The first semester begins with a two-week introduction to the programme and to build group cohesion and enhance personal effectiveness. The introduction will be followed by 12 lecturing weeks including the following subjects:

- Human Resource Management
- Personal Development & Leadership
- Strategic Management
- Operations Management
- Financial Management & Accounting
Semester Two
The second semester also consists of 12 lecturing weeks and focuses on the following subjects:
- International Business Environment
- Economics and Business in the European Union
- Business Research Methods
- Intercultural Competences in Business
- Innovation & Entrepreneurship
- International Marketing
Semester Three
The third semester is focused on conducting applied research within a relevant business setting which is the basis for writing the MBA thesis. Besides providing the essential knowledge of international business and management during the first two semesters, students are required to select a topic and a business setting for their MBA thesis already during the first semester, and further develop their thesis proposal during the second semester. The actual research and writing the thesis are undertaken during the third semester.
