The Prince Claus Conservatoire has its own impresario/agent. Musicians from the north of the Netherlands have the possibility to perform at concerts and activities in the north of the Netherlands and Germany negotiated by the impresario. The impresario manages different genres of music from classical to jazz, pop and world music. We organise performances by students in the final phase of their study, conservatorium graduates, teachers of the Prince Claus Conservatoire, members of the Noord Nederlands Orkest and other professional musicians.
The impresario negotiates for more than 200 musicians a year, of which approximately a quarter are students of the Prince Claus Conservatoire classical and jazz departments. The engagements are frequently coffee concerts, concert series, but also background music, openings and unveilings. The market wages and cost mediation are billed to the client. The impresario handles the taxes and other government contributions and manages amongst other things; a newsletter, a website and electronic marketing.
We also organise concerts and events at the request of a third party, or with subsidy/sponsorship, such as the ‘Muzikale Zomer’, the ‘Gitaristen Podium Groningen’, ‘PromConcert’, the ‘Relatieavond Hanzehogeschool’ and the ‘Dag van de Kamermuziek’.
