New teachers for Jazz Program New york comes to Groningen

Alex Sipiagin and Mark Gross will be teaching in Groningen in September

In september two new USA-teachers will be added to our teaching faculty.  They are Alex Sipiagin (trumpet) and Mark Gross (altso saxophone). They will be teaching in the unique Jazz Program  New York comes to Groningen

The new trumpet teacher will be Alex Sipiagin. He is from Russia and came to New York in the 90’s. He is mostly known because he is a steady member of the Mingus Band, but he has done a lot more, you can check it for yourself on the internet. Currently he is playing in the new Sextet of bassist Dave Holland and this new group is touring all over the world.

The other new teacher is Mark Gross (alto sax). Mark is a member of the Ellington Orchestra, the Tom Harrell Big Band, the Dizzy Gillespie All Stars, and he is a teacher at several institutions in New York.
