Four ensembles of Prince Claus Conservatoire have been invited to play at The Hague Jazzfestival on May 23 and 24 2008. More than 75 concerts in two days at 10 stages in the World Forum in The Hague (the former location of North Sea Jazz festival that moved to Rotterdam), that's The Hague Jazz. Representing the Prins Claus Conservatoire are on May 23 vocal teacher Dena DeRose and her Trio. On May 24 will play the Prince Claus Conservatoire Big Band with conductor Kurt Weiss, Student ensemble Rebop Unit and a Teachers AllStar Band. |
The headliners of the festival are Miriam Makeba (the Dutch farewell concert), Level 42 feat. Billy Cobham, Stanley Clarke, Randy Brecker Electric Band, Wende Snijders, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, Barbara Hendricks, McCoy Tyner Trio with special guest Joe Lovano, Eddie Palmieri, Toots Thielemans en Matt Bianco.
