Robin Eubanks is the premier jazz trombonist of his generation.
Whether performing with his groups, EB3 or Mental Images, or with the critically acclaimed Dave Holland Quintet and Big Band, Robin is an artist whose impact on audiences has proven powerful and lasting. Robin has recorded seven albums as a leader featuring his original music.
He yielded an amazing array of collaborations with such notable artists as Art Blakey, Elvin Jones, Eddie Palmieri, Sun Ra, Barbra Streisand, The Rolling Stones and Talking Heads –just to name a few. He’s won Grammys for his performances on Michael Brecker’s Wide Angles and Dave Holland’s What Goes Around.
Robin teaches jazz trombone at the Oberlin College Conservatory and is a popular lecturer and clinician at leading educational institutions throughout the U.S. and abroad. Next to being an eminent musician and teacher, Robin is also highly in demand as a composer. His compositions can be heard on several Dave Holland Quintet and Big Band recordings. The Mingus Big Band has also recorded his arrangements. Colleges and universities throughout the United States are performing Robin’s original works and have arranged his music for their ensembles.

Vocalist JD Walter has been compared to many vocal Titans, but his style is uniquely his own, and he has become a singular phenomenon on the music scene. Respected and lauded by the great musicians of the contemporary circuit, J.D. has shared the stage and recorded with many legendary artists. J.D. has currently recorded 5 CD's and he has been a guest artist on many CD's. He is a member of pianist Orrin Evans Luvpark band. J.D. has been a featured artist at countless American jazz festivals and clubs, and performed at numerous festivals all over the world.
J.D. is in demand as a clinician at schools and universities, performing numerous clinics for the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and the Music Educators National Conference. He has taught at various institutions such as the prestigious Sibelius Conservatory in Helsinki Finland, The University of North Texas and The Moscow Music Consort, to name a few. JD is a regular on the Music Scene in New York having headlined at such venues as, Lincoln Center, The Jazz Standard, the Tribeca Performing Arts Center, and the famed 55 Bar.
Robin Eubanks and JD Walter will replace Mark Gross (sax) and Dena DeRose (vocals) as of September 2010.
