Sanem Kalfa (4th year student jazz) has won the Shure Montreux Jazz Voice Competition. Chairman of the jury was the famous American producer Quincy Jones. This competition is part of the famous Montreux Jazz Festival en gives young vocalistst a chance to present themselves on one of the worlds most prestigious jazz festivals. Besides winning a money prize, Sanem won recording time in the Balik Farm Studios in Switserland, an European tour and a gig at Montreux Jazz Festival 2011.
