Study costs Apart from the conservatoire (Hanze University Groningen) tuition fees and the cost of your instrument, you need to calculate between € 110 - € 360 for books, sheet music and other study material. Especially in the first year you will have a lot of theoretical subjects and will therefore need to spend more on books.
Entrance exam
Before you can study at the conservatoire you have to pass an entrance exam. This exam consists of two parts: a theory / aural test, and an audition. Each part is approximately 30 minutes in duration and both take place on the same day. It is most likely you will hear the same day if you can be admitted to the conservatoire. In special cases it is possible to send in a dvd instead of doing an audition. Click here for information. For more information about the Prince Claus Conservatoire you can send an e-mail to prinsclausconservatorium@org.hanze.nl or call +31 50595 1314 or 1312
