The two-year master program ‘Joint Music Master for New Audiences and Innovative Practice’ is the first Joint European Master in the field of music.
A new innovative curriculum has been developed with five higher music education institutions and a further seven external professional and educational organisations in four European countries. The programme will provide musicians with the skills and knowledge to become artistically flexible practitioners, able to adjust to a wide range of situations in a variety of artistic and social contexts.
Whether your background is classical or jazz, if you are interested in leading creative projects and collaborating with practitioners in other art forms, then the ‘Joint Music Master for New Audiences and Innovative Practice’ is the course for you!
You’ll be having lessons with: Guy Wood, Michael Moore (Leading&Guiding); Philip Curtis, Marc van Roon(Performance&Communication) and depending on your study plan any other of the teachers of the Prince Claus Conservatoire.

Example of Entrepreneurship within the Master of Music
Students in the Master of Music are being prepared on a career as entrepreneurs (among other things) during their studies. For all students the Professional Integration Project (30 ECTS) is the masterpiece, in which they combine musicianship with applied research skills and entrepreneurship. They take modules like Project Management & Entrepreneurship’, ‘Music in Business’ en ‘Marketing & Communication’ to prepare them on being an entrepreneur.
In the Professional Integration Project “Two Languages-One Dialogue”, bij Chara Riala (1st year NAIP student), all these aspects fit perfectly together. She is working on a collaborative music performance that builds upon the strengths of both communal groups in Cyprus. It is based on the specific cultural inheritance (stories and music) of both the Turkish and the Greek community on this divided island. Chara presented her research on the possibilities for such community music projects in Cyprus and a work plan. She made a project plan, business plan, a financial plan and a marketing strategy.
