The Research Group ‘Lifelong Learning in Music’ is connected to the Prince Claus Conservatoire of the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen. It examines the concept of Lifelong Learning and its consequences for musicians. The future professional musicians have to be able to function in a flexible way in a rapidly changing professional practice.
Conservatoires can anticipate by creating an adaptive learning environment which enables students to be responsive. In relation to this the conservatoires take care of adequate competence development of their teachers. Research, pilot projects and international exchange with partner institutions will lead to an innovative underpinning model. Within the Research group, the researchers and the Advisory committee together with the project partners from diverse areas of the professional field will contribute to this model.
Publications of the Research Group can be found on their website .
