Do you know where the roads abroad will take you?
Are you fascinated by bridges, airports, roads, dikes and fly-overs? Are you a creative team player who likes to sketch and draw? Are you not one to get homesick easily and would you find it fun to study together with an international group? Then the programme International Civil Engineering Management (ICEM) of Hanze (UAS) will certainly appeal to you. As you are abroad for long periods of time, you acquire more than just knowledge about civil engineering. With this degree in your pocket, you are ready for the international job market.
The International Civil Engineering Management programme educates you to become a civil engineer. Engineers trained in the Netherlands are in high repute abroad. That is why one encounters Dutch contractors and engineering firms on many European projects. In order to work successfully as a civil engineer in foreign countries, you of course have to learn to speak the language there. But you must also be acquainted with the way of working and the company culture in other countries. In that way you learn to be in charge of civil engineering projects both at home and abroad.
Teamwork
Wherever you eventually set out, you will almost certainly be working on projects as part of a team. The ICEM programme prepares you well for this. You acquire a lot of knowledge by doing research or projects together with fellow students. In the international programme, this means cooperating with students from Germany, Denmark, France, Poland and Sweden etc..
