ICEM is a two-year programme (3rd and 4th year) resulting in a degree (in specific cases a one-year programme is also possible, for more information, please contact us). During term 5 and 6 one studies in the Netherlands, while term 7 is dedicated to a work placement in that country. There are two varieties of term 8: one may graduate either in Groningen or at one’s home institute. In the latter case, the graduation work is evaluated by lecturers from the home institute as well as from Hanze University of Applied Sciences (Hanze UAS) Groningen.
The ICEM programme’s main objective is to provide education that enables graduates to work as managers of building and civil engineering projects all over Europe.
The graduate is able to fulfil tasks in all of the construction process’ phases.
The graduate can cooperate and communicate in both English and Dutch with all the persons involved in the process, and of course also in the graduate’s own language.
The graduate is able to fully appreciate the various differences between construction engineering in his native country and in other European countries, particularly in the Netherlands.
