Building without boundaries
You are creative and have an eye for detail. You are good at calculating, communicating and running things. You like to work according to plan and construction appeals to you. Moreover, you fancy working and studying abroad. In that case the programme International Construction Management (ICM) is sure to be right up your street. ICM trains you to become a construction engineer who is also able to work in an international setting. After your studies, you know all about building materials, techniques, calculations, structures and European building regulations. You speak one or more foreign languages and consult principals, subcontractors, advisors and authorities. You work in an international branch of industry, leaving its mark on our surroundings.
The European unification also takes shape in the construction industry. Large building projects and government enterprises are put out to tender in Europe. And also the free exchange of trade and labour sees to it that real estate developers and construction firms are increasingly active abroad. That is a good thing, but it means that they certainly need to be very well-up in the language, culture and the various building processes and regulations. As an ICM graduate you are able to play an important part here.
Teamwork
The programme International Construction Management is an international variant of General Architecture. Thus you do many subjects together with students attending this course. You have many practicals, and work in small groups on projects where all of the field's aspects crop up integrally. In that way, you not only acquire lots of knowledge in practice, but you also train the skills you need for your future job. In the international programme Architecture, you of course furthermore do languages and familiarize yourself with international business administration. In that way, you can put to service your sound constructional basis when being in charge of and organizing building projects at home and abroad.
