Intl. Construction Management

In Groningen I found the opportunity to become a better professional in my field.

I currently live in Groningen thanks to the desire for finishing my career abroad, seizing the opportunity to live this experience as a unique one. Now I am in my final year of International Construction Management at Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen. International Construction Management is a programme that is a part of the School of Architecture, Built Environment & Civil Engineering.

Here I have found the opportunity to grow as a person. I’m learning how to become a better professional in my field, looking for the chance to stay in The Netherlands longer than just one year.

Since I came to Groningen I have met great people, both Dutch and from other nationalities. I consider some of them as my true friends and others I consider as my family. They help me to live in Groningen, to learn the culture, and to realize that this city is the best place I have ever been.

I love the international environment the University has. You can ask as much doubts as you have because you know there are people who take care of you. Like teachers, who always have an answer, not only in your studies but in your daily life as well.

I have the strange feeling of homelessness but at the same time I feel like this place is my new home. I am having fantastic experiences on my bike, on which I enjoy every corner of the city. When I ride my bike, the cold weather helps me to wake me up every morning, wondering at the beginning of the day what the weather will look likhow many degrees we will have outside. Looking through the window and watching the bicycles pass by, reminds me that I am living in one of the healthiest countries. I would ride my bike for a maximum of one hour a day, because I wasn’t used to it. Now, if I don’t ride my bike I feel like I am missing something.
I came to Groningen for a reason, and I am finding more reasons to stay here. I just love it.
