The programme covered current international issues in higher education. "It was very interesting to hear from other European colleagues how they do their work at their universities. In addition, it was nice to see the facilities at JAMK and have the opportunity to talk with our key contacts at JAMK," Schepers says. The School of Communication & Media has an exchange contract with the department of Music and Media Management (bachelor of Culture and Arts). They also have a strong student organisation, which is also very active for exchange students.
Jyvasyla is located in Central Finland. A beautiful region with lots of trees and lakes. Schepers: "Harro and myself were amazed that the sun did not go under during this time of year, so it was light 24 hours a day! But the winter season is totally different with lots of snow, skiing and iceskating. But then there is always the possibility to enjoy the sauna!!"
