Ukrainian and Lithuanian delegations visit School of Communication & Media

In the afternoon of Tuesday 27 March, International Communication students gave presentations to two groups of visitors from Ukraine and Lithuania.

At 13.00 (1PM), a group of Ukrainian secondary school students and their parents arrived at the School of Communication & Media. This was part of a study trip to several universities in the north of the Netherlands. They were welcomed by Admissions Coordinator Mr. Lennart Pruiksma, and Nataliya Yaremchuk, a Ukrainian second year International Communication student. They gave a presentation about the International Communication study programme in English and Russian. The reactions were wonderful and afterwards all students came up to talk to Nataliya and ask her more about what it is like to study International Communication and what it is like to live in Groningen. It was a joy to see how enthusiastic they were. Nataliya did a terrific job presenting and taking the time to answer as many questions as possible.

Two hours later, another delegation arrived, this time consisting of approximately 70 secondary school students from Lithuania. During this presentation, Lennart Pruiksma was assisted by two first year Lithuanian International Communication students: Zivile Vaisvilaite and Kristina Pleckaityte. Afterwards, the students had a get-together at Hanze's Cultural Activities Center where the Lithuanian students were able to ask Zivile and Kristina questions. Zivile's and Kristina's great enthousiasm made this visit a great success.
