The honours talent programme is an enhanced educational programme of 30 credits on top of the Bachelor
programme.

The programme is meant for the most talented and highly motivated students within the School of Communication & Media. If you are ambitious, an “out of the box” thinker, a dedicated student who enjoys challenging assignments and is willing to take on more than an average workload, you should take part in this programme.
Aims
The honours talent programme aims at professional excellence by building Communication Personalities, whose notable features are:
- Professional communication and presentation performance.
- Showing initiative and leadership qualities.
- Curiosity and critical thinking.
- Multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Excellent abilities to perform applied research.
- Creativity and innovative power.
- Global citizenship, with attention to people, planet and prosperity.
The programme seeks to develop students individually and as a community of scholars by providing a mentored environment and recognizing academic and professional achievements.
Challenge
The honours programme will challenge you to work in a multidisciplinary team on research and innovative assignments of leading businesses and organizations. Since the programme is situated in Groningen, we will seek clients that operate from Groningen, for example Groningen's City of Talent Marketing project, Energy Valley, the internationally recognized Project on Healthy Ageing, and more. You can acquire and organize your own assignment or step into projects acquired by the school in contacts with companies and organizations. These could be the City Council of Groningen, Provincial Council, Gasunie, Groningen Seaport, UMCG (city hospital) and other renowned institutes and companies. Whatever you do, it should fit in with your own ambition and motivation. By taking part you can share your talent and move the world.
Quality assurance
The Honours Talent Programme is offered under supervision of the Hanze Honours College. This puts high demands on the educational quality and therefore it practices several methods of quality assurance. A sound procedure of monitoring your growth as a communication personality and regular evaluation are central parts of the quality system.
