You make things happen!
The dynamism and vigour of our students creates an interesting environment at our school. They make things possible, both for themselves and for others, which is something they are also required to do later in their career.
‘What do you want?’
This question is key within our school. Facility management is about ‘What does the customer want?’; a people-oriented vision that starts at school. The relationship between what is right for people and what is right for the organisation takes a central stage in Facility Management. You determine the success of this relationship, in a multicultural society or an increasing international context. Housing (buildings, installations, infrastructure) and technology play an increasing important role in the area of Facility Management. For this reason, we focus on managerial aspects and real estate management in our courses. We believe that this enhances the Facility Manager’s strategic contribution to an organisation as much as possible and enables you to add value.
You choose your own international path
Our school allows you to decide on the branch of studies you take and the sector you wish to work in. However, there is no need to decide immediately. You set to your route during the course of your study after you have figured out exactly what Facility Management has to offer. We will provide a broad basis for you to do so, complemented with the in-depth knowledge you choose. With many foreign students, you will find yourself in an international environment. You can actively extend this environment during your third year abroad by studying at one of our international partner institutes and your placement/internship abroad.
You translate theory into practice
During your study programme, you experience Facility Management in a personal environment from the very start. You will gain in-depth knowledge about, for example, the way your own school incorporates its culture in its buildings or the ideal working environments. Our school provides the ability for experimenting with theory, because the best way to learn is putting knowledge into practice. If you wish to gain some experience with organising, scheduling and motivating, you are given the opportunity to actively gain experience by managing events such as open days, sports days or a symposium.
We heartily invite you to discover and experience the world of Facility Management in Groningen, because there’s no place like Groningen, in particular if you are looking for a broad and serviceoriented education that prepares you well for your international career.
