Second International Seminar Facility Management Big Success

On Tuesday Feb 8th and Wednesday Feb 9th the School of Facility Management took care of organizing the International Seminar Facility Management for the second time in a row.

This year it was shaped around the themes Built Environment, Leadership and Hospitality. It was a surprising outcome to see that these themes were very much linked to each other. For instance: having a non hospitable building will almost automatically create a non hospitable feeling towards the guest that is received in there. The same refers to leadership: the leader will have to change her or his style of managing according to the hospitality concept that he wants to show.

In various presentations during these two days we had the Auditorium filled with an audience approximately 150 guests. Leading key note speakers from abroad (Italy, Ireland, Germany, USA, Austria and Dubai) and from the Netherlands showed what state of the art is within their domain at this moment.

The organization, developed and performed by students of the minor ClimaxXl, was arranged perfectly: all key note speakers were accompanied by a personal host student that took care of a hospitable experience for the guest. The key note speakers and guests as well as the audience gave enthusiastic comments about the high level of the presentations during the seminar. The written evaluations also showed that the expectations were met. So: onwards to the next seminar!
