International students can apply by sending in an application form and supporting documents, available at Studielink. After 8 February 2010, students with an address outside the Netherlands have to log in using a username and password provided by Studielink. If you wish to apply after this day for an account or log in, you should go to Studielink and follow the link: “Log-in and account application EXCLUSIVELY for students with a home address abroad” on the homepage. This includes options for creating an account, logging in or requesting your account details.
Also if you have an address in the Netherlands, you can use your mailaddress in your homeland and fill in your Dutch address as mailaddress. This will prevent e-mails from Studielink about all kinds of information concerning Dutch students.
After you have applied through studielink and your papers are approved by the Hanze University you will receive a Letter of Acceptance.
Enrolment will not be final until all requirements as specified in the letter of acceptance are met. Therefore, always consult the letter of acceptance.
Application deadline: 1st of May.
Maximum of 40 students
Hanze University Groningen reserves the right to check, both in the Netherlands and abroad, the authenticity of all documents submitted in support of applications.
*Only if you are not eligible for a DigiD because you are not an official Dutch resident, will you be able to continue to use your old Studielink username and password.
DigiD required for Studielink (for Dutch students who want to apply for the English Physiotherapy programme)
With effect from 8 February, Studielink will use DigiD for logging in. All students eligible* for a DigiD must use DigiD to log in from that date. Log in to Studielink as soon as possible after 8 February to update your account! On the Studielink homepage, select “Convert Studielink account to DigiD (once only)”. As soon as you log in to Studielink, you will be given an opportunity to convert your account to DigiD. You will then log in using DigiD and your existing Studielink account will be linked to your DigiD. Make sure you do this before 15 May to prevent any problems with enrolment or re-enrolment.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have not converted to DigiD by the end of August, we cannot guarantee that the Studielink student helpdesk will be able to provide prompt assistance if you forget your username or password. You will then risk missing the deadline for enrolment or re-enrolment.
You probably already use DigiD for My IB-Groep, in which case you can now use it for Studielink too.
Apply for your DigiD in good time Make sure you apply for your DigiD in good time. After applying for a DigiD, it will take around five working days until your log-in details are sent to your home address. Make sure you have applied for your DigiD about 1 month before the official deadlines for enrolment set by your study programme. Are you planning to do a study programme with a draw procedure? In that case, you should make sure you have applied for and activated your DigiD by 15 April at the latest!
Apply now for your DigiD at www.digid.nl. Make sure that you have your Citizen Service Number (BSN) at hand. Do you already have a DigiD username and password? If so you can use these to log in to Studielink.nl.
About DigiD DigiD is a collective system with which government institutions can verify your identity online. DigiD enables you to access the electronic services of an increasing number of government institutions with a single username and password. For example, in addition to Studielink, you also need a DigiD to apply to the IB-Groep for a student grant or loan. You can also use DigiD to check if your student grant or loan has already been paid.
