Italian

Beginners and advanced courses. From saying hello and goodbye, introducing yourself and asking how someone is doing, to drawing up a curriculum vitae, and talking about a profession and professional perspectives.

The Italian 1 and 2 courses are only available during the Winter Semester.

Italian 1

Content

  • Saying hello and goodbye; introducing oneself; asking how someone is doing; asking someone’s name.
  • Numbers; telling something about yourself: studies, work, origin, aim of being in Italy.
  • Asking for someone’s roots/age; asking for the price; thanking someone.

Details

  • The minimum mark for both the written and the oral exam is 5.5.
  • The mark is only registered in Progress, once both the oral and the written exams have been passed.
  • After having passed Italian 1 as well as Italian 2, you will receive a certificate stating your level in Italian according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
  • This course is scheduled on Thursday's 18:30-20:30 hrs.
  • Presence in class and preparation is obligatory, absence is allowed only once per course period.

Italian 2

Content

  • Telling something about yourself: studies,/work, ordering in a bar/restaurant, talking about your relatives, time on the clock, making appointments.
  • Grammar: some important irregular verbs like andare, fare, venire, volere, potere and dovere.
  • Prepositions and articles, pronouns, past tense and past participles, negations.
