Sport Event Management
Following an initial introduction to the historical and theoretical background, the course is designed to be a practical step by step guide to the transition of an event (and associated facilities) from an idea to actuality. Various core topics are dealt with via lectures and project groups, with additional input from guest presenters and site visits. Management principles are used particularly leadership in the course material.
International Week Cologne
International program hosted by German Sport University. Topic of the week is Innovations in the sports industry.
International Program: Great North Run
During one intensive week students do research to the possibility of hosting a Marathon in Groningen. Students have to submit a report analysing particular management aspects of sport management and organisation, financial management, HRM, strategic sport management. Prior to the week students have to do preparation and analysis of articles / text relating to city marketing events.
International Program: Westham United
During two intensive days, students will be consultants of the football club FC Birmingham. Focus of these two days will be time management by post office method. Students have to react to all kind of operational and theoretical tasks within time limits. Will the students be capable to solve FC Birmingham problems?

Winterschool 2012
An international intensive program with lectures, visit venues as spectator, assignment behind the scenes and an active winter sport program.
