Over the last twenty years the two disciplines of Sport and Tourism have inextricably been moving closer together. The popularity of international and national sporting events, together with an increase in sport related tourism holiday packages acts as appropriate examples.
This minor programme will not only examine Sport Tourism from a political, economic and business perspective, but will also incorporate sociological and psychological theory and methods. Additionally, it will focus upon the developmental and organisational elements of Sport Tourism; ensuring students have the relevant practical and theoretical grounding required for management in the industry
