Companies, specifically SMEs, are faced with a lack of specialized employees in the nearby future. Furthermore, markets are changing rapidly and thus organizations need to develop sustainable business activities. One challenging step to develop sustainable business activities may lie in offshoring (i.e., outsourcing to other countries) of business processes.
|
Some companies experienced successes and some of them failures with offshoring. Failures are mostly related to economic and cultural distance and employee morale. Trust on the other hand has been commonly considered as one of the key elements in successful offshoring.
In this KCO College Hugo Velthuijsen, professor on business & IT, and senior lecturer Franz Josef Gellert will identify success and failure factors in building trustful relationships that influence business progress/delevopment.
