Healthy Ageing is a component of a large number of bachelor’s and master’s programmes within Hanze (UAS).
Examples of bachelor’s programmes incorporating this topic include: HBO Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medical ImAgeing and Radiation Oncology (MBRT), Speech Therapy, Nutrition & Dietetics, Dental Hygiene, Health Care Management, Social Work & Social Services, Social Legal Services, Applied Psychology, Sport Health, ICT, Advanced Sensor Applications, Biology & Medical Laboratory Research, Bio-information Technology, Human Resources Management, Small Business & Retail Management, Marketing, Music, Built Environment, and Real Estate Management. Within these there are also elective programmes in the form of minors, which students on other courses can take. Healthy Ageing features in the following minors: Healthy Ageing, Health Care and Technology, Starting Your Own Paramedic Business, Sport Health and Da Vinci (entrepreneurship). And since 2010 there has also been a Healthy Ageing Honours programme for excellent students.
Healthy Ageing also features strongly in a number of master’s programmes, including the Master’s in Advanced Nursing Practice, the Physician Assistant Master’s, and the new master’s programme Physiotherapy for Chronic Conditions. A new Sport and Movement Innovation master’s programme is in development.
The Healthy Ageing theme also crops up in various international programme variants, such as the English-language Intensive Healthy Ageing Programme for students from other European universities and universities of applied sciences.
