International Minor Public Health

Do you want to be a frontline practitioner and play a role in the improvement of health for all?
Then join this minor!

The Minor Public Health is an English-language minor for national and international students of Nursing and Health Studies. You will acquire knowledge and skills to give shape to public health as a novice public health practitioner. The first 10 weeks of this minor you will learn about the essential elements of public health and the process of public health in order to write a community action plan. During the second period of ten weeks you will acquire skills to become culturally competent and learn about leadership and management. During this second block, you will do a public health assignment for an external customer. International students may restrict their application to the first ten weeks.

Entry conditions Knowledge of research methodology and critical appraisal
Programme language English (be able to read, write and speak English)
Length of the programme 1 semester (5 months)
Enrollment 1st of June for start in September, 1st of December for start in February

The programme is offered in semester 1 and 2 (September and February)

Applications
International students can apply via the International Student Office. This is also the place to go for questions about visas, residence permits, accommodation, insurance, etc.
