DAVID KIKOSKI
“Kikoski is a musician who can swing forcefully as an accompanist and apply his adventurous harmonic ideas to various improvisational contexts,” (Andrew Gilbert)

GENE JACKSON
By playing with the many musicians, he has acquired the ability to play the skins in multiple styles and genres of music. “I learned early on that adapting to the various musical situations would be essential to my survival,” said Jackson. “I found it is musically satisfying for me when I follow where the music takes me as opposed to dictating where the music goes.”

ROB HORSTING
is working as an arranger with Henk Meutgeert since 2000, resulting in various arranging assignments for the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw, but also for orchestras like Orkest van het Oosten, Ifiamminghi, the NNO, The Rotterdam Filharmonic, The Mariniers Kapel and the Luchtmacht Kapel.

AB SCHAAP
played in top orchestras including the Skymasters, the Metropole Orchestra and the John Clayton Big Band. He also has played in the latinband Manteca (now called Nueva Manteca) and the Rotterdam Jazz Ensemble. Currently, he is a member of Peter Ypma+Eleven and the Dutch Jazz Orchestra under the direction of John Ruocco.

JORIS TEEPE
“The Dutch bassist ‘s tunes are peppered with arrangements inside arrangements. Always swinging, he and his cohorts squeeze memorable episodes out of open blowing sections. It’s a wise tack, reminding that cues keep players and listeners on their toes” (Macnie, Village Voice New York)

ALEX SIPIAGIN
“Sipiagin...crafts arrangements and originals that are more about an elastic sense of time...He’s not afraid to walk a musical tightrope without need for a safety net...At the rate he’s going, there’s no telling what even greater breakthroughs lie ahead for this forward-thinking musician.” (C. Andrew Hovan)

KURT WEISS
performed with various artists such as Aretha Franklin, Frank Foster, Steve Grossman, Natalie Cole, Donna Summer, Rosemary Clooney, Mel Torme and Bobby Short. Weiss has toured extensively as a trumpet soloist with the Orchestras of Ray Charles, Artie Shaw, Glenn Miller and Jimmy Dorsey.

MARC VAN ROON
a multitalented improvising musician who combines music performance with his work as a creative coach for groups in change and learning processes. His compositions are in high demand for Dance companies and music ensembles and Marc has produced several CD albums for other artists.
