On-Campus Open Day

Once you arrive in the Netherlands, there are various forms of public transport that you can take. The train from Schiphol airport to Groningen will take approximately 2 hours. From Eindhoven Airport you'll need approximately 3.5 hours to reach Groningen.

Free buses run from Groningen Central Station to our Open Day locations, approximately every 15 minutes throughout the day. The bus schedule will be posted here soon.

During the On-Campus Open Day, you will get the opportunity to get to know all there is to know regarding studying at Hanze and in Groningen. You can also attend informative presentations on our study programmes, talk to faculty members and get a feel for what you can expect during the programme. Next to that, you can meet current international students and ask them about their Hanze experience so far. We would be thrilled to welcome you on our Campus!

After signing up for the Open Day, you'll receive an email asking you to confirm your visit. This email will also contain more information about your personal schedule and where you'll need to be at what time. Our Hanze International Student Team will receive you upon arrival at our locations and guide you throughout the day.

This particular Open Day will only be held physically. Can't make it? Then make sure to follow us on Instagram, where we will provide coverage of the event throughout the day, and stay tuned for more information about our Online Open Day, taking place on 13 December 2024!

Generally, the programme looks like this:

• As an international visitor, you will start your Open Day with a general kick-off presentation for international students.
• Afterwards, you will be able to join a Campus Tour, giving you the opportuniy to see the facilities at Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen.
• After the Campus Tour, you will be able to attend Programme Presentations to find out more about your favourite study programme(s) and talk to current students and faculty.
• After visiting the programmes, you can join a Groningen City Tour, organised by our Hanze International Student Team!

When you sign up, you'll receive an email from us with more information about the programme, at what time everything takes place, and where you'll need to be. A few days before the event, you'll also receive more information about the time slots of the programme presentations, so you can fully personalise your programme.
