Minerva Academy presents itself in the exhibition ‘Art Shows…’5/15/2013 10:23:23 AMOn Wednesday 15 May 2013 the exhibition 'Art Shows...' will be opened at Minerva Art Academy of Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen. This exhibition demonstrates how animated dialogues on topical subjects are taking place at Minerva Art Academy. In ‘Art Shows…’ the diversity of views and disciplines as well as the relationships with society are central. ‘Art Shows…’ is on view at both locations of Minerva Art Academy to Thursday 30 May. Marcel de Vries to travel to the Baltic States on the George Verberg Scholarship1/24/2013 9:03:40 AM€ 10,000 for talented visual artist  Marcel de Vries has been awarded the George Verberg Scholarship 2012. The presentation by the alderman for culture Dig Istha took place at Academy Minerva on Thursday 17 January last. Directly after this ceremony the exhibition 'Curiouser and Curiouser’ of last year's winner of the Scholarship, Henrike Scholten, was opened. Together with this exhibition, the presentation of the George Verberg Scholarship is one of the first activities within the scope of the Holland-Russia year, for which the steering committee North Netherlands-Russia 2013 is organizing a varied festival programme. Alumnus of MFA Scenography wins Charlotte Köhler Prize 20116/14/2011 2:44:45 PMOn the recommendation of the jury, the Prince Bernhard Culture Fund has awarded the Charlotte Köhler Prizes 2011 to three promising theatre-makers: Ilay den Boer, Wikke van Houwelingen and Joachim Robbrecht. George Verberg Scholarship 2010 awarded to FMI graduate Eleanor Kathleen Grootoonk2/2/2011 2:02:45 PMOn Tuesday 18 January last Mr Ton Schroor, the alderman for culture of the city of Groningen, presented the George Verberg Scholarship 2010 to FMI graduate Eleanor Kathleen Grootoonk. The scholarship is a annual incentive prize for professional young artists aimed to stimulate their artistic development. The laureate receives an amount of € 10,000 for a temporary stay in the Baltic States and the Northern Development Axis (Germany, Poland and Scandinavia).
