Admittance to the MBA require​s a minimum of three years of work experience and prepares graduates for senior and general management positions. The programme focuses on leadership and management in an international context.

Programme overview

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) full-time programme is targeted at business  professionals who want to become tomorrow's leaders and senior managers. It offers an ideal  opportunity for those who are looking for a comprehensive education in business management in a fully international environment. You learn to integrate the main business processes into effective  and efficient corporate strategies and underlying business models. In addition, you develop the  skills to deal with the diverse and sometimes diverging interests of various stakeholders involved in international business. The MBA focuses on determining and leading the sustainable changes necessary for business and society.

Admission requirements

Admission requirements

Applicants are admitted to the course based on their academic background, work experience and English language proficiency.

- Students must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent from an approved degree awarding body, university or college (no GMAT required).

- A minimum of three years of professional work experience in the role of specialist (e.g. Accountant, Financial Analyst, Business Lawyer, Consultant, Policy Advisor), manager or entrepreneur.  

- English language proficiency should be proven IELTS 6.5. or a TOEFL score of 575/TOEFL Internet 90.  

- An applicant must also submit a letter of motivation and an up-to-date CV.

- References are not required unless specifically requested by the Admissions Committee during the admissions process.

- In case of NUFFIC-scholarship (additionally): a bachelor awarded by a NUFFIC approved university.

Hanze UAS offers the following scholarships:

  • StuNed scholarship
    • full tuition fee waiver for Indonesian students
  • Orange Tulip Scholarship (OTS) 
    • tuition fee deduction of €3,000
    • IBS offers one scholarship per country. Countries participating in this OTS are Brazil, India, Indonesia, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Vietnam. A local Neso Nuffic office manages applications for the OTS.

A comprehensive LinkedIn research published in November 2017 showed that our graduates are employed in a wide variety of companies and business-related professions worldwide, including those following entrepreneurial and start-up career paths. Over 800 unique LinkedIn profiles were assessed, representing IBS alumni currently located in over 60 different countries.
