Hanze UAS in the global top 25 for its applied research

Hanze University of Applied Sciences has been ranked in the top 25 educational institutions in the world, for its applied research, according to U-Multirank 2016.

U-Multirank is a multidimensional, user-driven platform for the international ranking of higher education institutions. It compares the performance of higher education institutions through five major categories, teaching and learning, research, knowledge transfer, international orientation and regional engagement. U-Multirank is different when compared with more popular ranking systems such as the Shanghai Ranking, Times Higher Education and QS, as it does not give a general reputation score for universities, and focuses more on specific areas important to educational institutions. (U-Multirank 2016)

Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen scored well in various areas including, regional student enrolment, joint regional publications (research), international student mobility, master's programmes in another language and spin-offs (projects influenced by the institution).
