To reduce the damage caused by our economy, businesses need to adopt more sustainable practices. The professorship ‘Sustainable Finance and Entrepreneurship’ explores how the transition to sustainable business practices can be accelerated. To this end, the professorship develops tools that help SMEs and other organisations to operate in a greener and more socially responsible way.
The professorship ‘Sustainable Finance and Entrepreneurship’ has developed a social impact calculator, which enables social enterprises to demonstrate the costs and benefits of their way of working. In addition, it conducted research for the Municipality of Midden-Drenthe on the impact of enterprising villages, resulting in the Impact Box ‘The Power of Naoberschap’.
In the long-term research project ‘From Bureaucrazy to Carehappy’, the focus is on how healthcare can be financed as sustainably as possible. More projects can be found under ‘Projects’. All research activities share one overarching goal: to enhance broad prosperity in the Netherlands.
