Malnutrition and Healthy Ageing

The research line Malnutrition and Healthy Ageing focuses on the proactive prevention and treatment of malnutrition in people with chronic illnesses and older adults, in order to increase the number of healthy life years, quality of life, and participation in society. Within the collaboration between research, education, and professional practice, the practice-oriented research is carried out in co-creation with clients, patients and professionals.

To this end, the interdisciplinary research within the Malnutrition and Healthy Ageing research line focuses on three pillars, which are closely interconnected:

  • Evidence-based dietetics: strengthening the scientific basis of dietetic practice
  • Interprofessional collaboration
  • Transmural nutritional care
