The Professorship Organisational Design and Change supports organisations in realising effective organisational innovations, thereby enhancing their agility. It focuses on both the content of the innovation, its design, as well as the change process itself.
Organisational innovations can stand alone—for example, by organising work more intelligently to reduce workload and improve performance—but they may also arise from technological innovations. Our approach is based on five key principles:
-
A broad perspective on organisation design as the combination and interaction of strategy, structure, systems and culture
-
The interdependence of design and change;
-
Attention to the important role of people within organisations;
-
Value creation for all stakeholders, both internal and external;
-
Delivering a sustainable contribution by enhancing the agility of organisations.
